Beyond that, there are some really great mods that completely revamp the game and are worth a try as well. Or you could jump right into bannerlord. I feel like combat would be much harder for someone that never played warband, and it's on EA, so expect to hit bugs/dead end quests, balance issues etc.

Maybe initially it’s just a small bump with an initial investment that takes a while to recoup. But after that you should be getting a decent sum daily. And the upgrades shouldn’t be sinks either.
