At first I did not consider the 340i since the starting price is $10k more than the 328i. But when I option the 328i and 340i the same, the difference is only about $4000. Since 340i has the LED headlight as standard. (Wtf 328i premium package) However, I was not blown away by the 340's power over the 328.
Debating 328i vs 335i (xdrive) Was pretty much ready to pull the trigger on the 328i and then after reading some reviews was kind of shocked at how good of fuel economy the 335 gets and I also hadn't realised the increased cost included some extras (like the xenon lighting package I was going to pay for in the 328).
